Olivet Academy at Dover holds Science class three times a week during the after school program. After celebrating Earth Day on April 22 and learning about recycling, many students had questions how plastics were made.

Dr. Deborah Kravchuk, who was named one of the first Master Teachers in the state and also one of four finalists for the 2015 New York State Teacher of the Year, has been teaching After School Program at Olivet Academy in Wingdale, NY. Dr. Deborah has brought most wondering gift to the Olivet Academy, opening new eyes to the most inquisitive students and showing how a teacher is in character and in wisdom.

Throughout the after school program, she led STEM Science classes including building projects, chemistry experiments and also art projects. She wishes to continue to work with students but also teach professional development sessions for the faculty and raise next-generation of teachers at Olivet Academy.
