Dear Olivet Academy Families, Students and Staff,
Due to a declaration of a State of Emergency in Dutchess County on March 13 based on increasing confirmed cases of Coronavirus/Covid-19 and a growing number of residents in mandatory and precautionary quarantine, the County has taken various steps to better respond to this rapidly evolving situation, including the suspension of all classroom and extracurricular funtions for 14 days, effective March 16.
Olivet Academy will be following the mandated closure by Dutchess County in support of the County’s efforts to reduce spread of the virus and keep the community healthy and safe.
The school is preparing to offer distance learning for students, with additional instructions to follow.
Per the county’s order, schools may remain open to administration, staff and staff functions. School teachers will come to school on Monday to prepare details of the distance learning instructions.
As the situation continues to rapidly evolve, the school will update families, students and staff as needed.
We appreciate your understanding and urge prayers for the health and peace of mind of everyone during this time.
