The middle and high school 3D printing club led by high school math teacher Mr. Milo Tsukroff, completed its latest project on June 4, of a keychain with the Olivet Academy name.
The after-school club which kicked off in April, is learning about the basics of 3D printing and 3D design technology. Mr. Tsukroff said that most of the work during the club time after school is related to design. Students create designs with software on their laptops. Once the designs are complete, they are transferred to the 3D printing machines to start the printing process. The 3D printing machine works for hours while students are away to make the designs a reality.
“It is exciting that there is growing enthusiasm for 3D technology and thanks to Mr. Tsukroff who has introduced it and has been working closely with the students to assemble the printers and begin printing. I hope the students continue to explore the vast possibilities of this technology,” shared Pastor Claire.
The club gifted the key chains to school staff.
Olivet Academy believes that 3D printing can have huge benefits in schools, enhance
learning but to also allow students to play, explore, and follow their passions.
