Olivet Academy recently hosted a professional development day, tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of its elementary, middle, and high school faculty and staff.

Divided into focused sessions, teachers and staff from the elementary school dedicated their time to charting a course for success for the remainder of the school year. Reflecting on past achievements and challenges, they strategized ways to accomplish their goals and provide the best possible learning experiences for their students.

Meanwhile, the middle and high school faculty engaged in rigorous discussions centered around completing their Christian Philosophy of Education studies. With a keen eye on meeting the stringent requirements set forth by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) for school accreditation, teachers delved into lectures and selected relevant reading materials to aid them in crafting essential papers on their Christian Philosophy for teaching.

A pivotal aspect of the day was the comprehensive meeting addressing the transition of fifth-grade students to sixth grade. This gathering provided a valuable platform for sharing pertinent information about the incoming students and devising strategies to ensure a seamless transition process. Teachers and staff collaborated closely, exchanging insights and best practices to support the students’ academic and social development as they move into the next phase of their education journey.
