Amenia, NY On the afternoon of October 11th, OAc Amenia Middle and High School welcomed parents to a special open house event, prepared with joy and care by the school’s dedicated staff and teachers. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as educators eagerly shared insights into the academic journey planned for the students this year.
The event unfolded in two parts. First, the junior and senior high school teachers presented their subjects, giving an overview of the themes and lessons to be covered throughout the year. Teachers shared how learning would be structured in the classroom, the goals they have for their students, and highlighted some recent class activities. Following the presentations, a Q&A session allowed parents to engage, ask questions, and gain clarity on their children’s educational experiences.
Afterward, parents had the opportunity for personal conversations with teachers in the classrooms, allowing for deeper discussions and a chance to strengthen the partnership between home and school. This open communication fosters the parents’ ability to support and guide their children’s learning effectively.
The open house was filled with grace and appreciation. Both in-person and online, parents expressed heartfelt gratitude for the commitment and care shown by the school and its teachers.
