General Rules and Safety

  • Safety is our first priority. Students must always be under the supervision of a teacher, coach, or designated staff member.
  • Teachers and coaches must ensure all students have left the gym before departing.
  • Students must follow all safety instructions given by school staff.
  • Horseplay, pushing, and other unsafe behaviors are strictly prohibited.
  • The gymnasium should be used for school-related activities only.

Facility Access and Scheduling

  • School activities always take priority. Gym use is subject to scheduling and school needs.
  • Students and staff must adhere to their scheduled times and designated areas. Access to the gym will not be allowed before the confirmed time.
  • Doors to the gym and locker rooms will open one hour before the start of the first scheduled event.
  • The gymnasium is reserved for school-related activities and is not available for general community use.
  • If using the gym except for the opening hours (Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), it must be reserved in advance.

Equipment and Attire

  • Only athletic shoes with non-marking soles are permitted on gym floors. Street shoes are not allowed.
  • Only water in bottles with lids is allowed inside the gymnasium. Food and other drinks must be kept in designated areas.
  • No baseballs, softballs, bats, or batting cages are allowed in the gym.
  • Soccer goals may not be brought into school facilities.
  • PE equipment is for school use only. Volleyball nets and basketball goals may be used under staff supervision.
  • Volleyball nets must be set up and taken down only by school staff.

Conduct Expectations

  • All students and staff must be respectful to school personnel and property. Violations may result in disciplinary action.
  • No group or individual has priority over equipment or space unless otherwise scheduled.
  • Noisemakers (whistles, cowbells, kazoos, bullhorns, etc.) are not allowed.
  • Smoking, gambling, alcoholic beverages, and drugs are strictly prohibited on school property.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

  • All equipment must be returned to its proper place after use.
  • Floors and walkways must be kept clear to ensure safe movement throughout the facility.
  • Equipment must be cleaned after use.
  • The weight room and gymnasium must remain clean and organized.

Special Events and Guidelines

  • Seating for school events may be designated by staff.
  • Entry and exit procedures for athletic events must be followed.
  • Once students leave the premises during an event, re-entry may not be allowed.
  • Any signs or posters must be approved by school administration before being displayed.

These guidelines are in place to ensure a safe and structured environment for all students and staff while maintaining the facility in excellent condition.
