On February 24, 2025, the newly established OAC Debate & Speech Club offered an exciting and enriching opportunity for the ESL International students at Olivet Academy. This special initiative featured a workshop and campaign aimed at introducing students to the world of public speaking, debate, and structured presentations.
The course is designed to cover a wide range of topics within public speaking, gradually branching into more advanced skills in debate and constructive formats. Students will engage in hands-on activities and exercises that focus on developing their ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
In addition to learning key speaking and debating techniques, students will also participate in fun, interactive activities that are tailored to boost their critical thinking abilities.
Through this initiative, the club hopes to empower students to find diverse ways to express themselves while improving their communication skills. The ultimate goal is to help students speak with confidence and conviction, and to develop the tools they need to express their ideas clearly and persuasively.
