Olivet Academy Elementary School has launched a new afterschool ukulele class, enriching its extracurricular program with a musical addition. The class, which started today, is taught by Ms. McDow, the school’s kindergarten assistant teacher.

During the first session, Ms. McDow played the ukulele while singing a praise song to God, captivating the students who watched in admiration. The enchanting sound of the ukulele, combined with her heartfelt performance, created an inspiring atmosphere for the young learners.

The school believes that introducing the ukulele class enhances the afterschool program and fosters students’ artistic talents. In addition to music, Olivet Academy already offers a dance club and plans to expand its artistic programs further. These initiatives complement the school’s athletic programs, aiming to nurture both the emotional and physical well-being of students.

By incorporating a variety of artistic and physical activities, Olivet Academy continues its commitment to providing a well-rounded education that supports students’ creative expression and overall development. And we believe that students will be able to praise God in more various ways, such as worship and playing the ukulele.
