The Olivet Academy Fishing Club launched its very first fishing activity at the peaceful pond located right on the school campus.
Led by Mr. Tuskroff, the high school’s main math teacher and a passionate fisherman, students gathered for an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and learning under warm, sunny skies. The weather was perfect, and the joy of being outdoors together was evident as students learned the basics of fishing in a safe and guided environment.
Throughout the day, students successfully caught several fish. They took time to observe the fish closely, learning about their characteristics and habitats. Afterward, all fish were gently released back into the water.
As they marveled at the beauty and detail of each living creature, many students shared how they were reminded once again of the wonder of God’s creation. The peaceful setting, the vibrant life in the pond, and the joy of discovering nature up close deepened their appreciation for the Creator’s handiwork.
The day was not only filled with excitement and learning, but it also became a spiritual moment—a time to reflect on God’s presence in the natural world. The Olivet Academy Fishing Club looks forward to many more such adventures that combine fun, education, and faith.
