A new Digital Art course for students in Grades 6–7 has officially begun at the Olivet Academy Amenia campus, marking an exciting step forward in the school’s creative and technology-based education. This school year, students are being introduced to the fundamentals of 3D design and digital creation through structured instruction and hands-on projects using Tinkercad. The course encourages students to think creatively, develop technical skills, and apply problem-solving strategies in meaningful ways.
Classes are being held in a newly established computer lab, made possible by God’s abundant grace and provision. The lab is equipped with 21 Mac computers, creating a high-quality learning environment where students can work efficiently and confidently. This new space reflects the school’s commitment to providing excellent resources that support both academic growth and creative exploration.
More than a technology course, the Digital Art class serves as an opportunity for students to recognize and develop the creativity that God has entrusted to them. As students learn to design, create, and innovate, they are encouraged to use their gifts with gratitude and purpose. Olivet Academy looks forward to witnessing continued growth, learning, and God’s guidance through the many educational experiences that will take place in this new computer lab.
