Olivet Academy Amenia’s boys basketball team played its final road game of the season on February 16 at Marvelwood School in a closely contested matchup that ended in a 47–43 defeat.
Throughout the game, the team demonstrated strong unity and determination. From pre-game preparation to in-game huddles, Coach Matthew Cavuoto and the players gathered consistently to encourage one another and adjust their strategy.
At tipoff, the team displayed focus and intensity, hustling after loose balls and battling to maintain possession. Both teams applied tough defensive pressure and challenged shots, making for a competitive and hard-fought game.
Following the final buzzer, players from both teams lined up to exchange handshakes, demonstrating respect and sportsmanship.
The team will conclude its season on March 18 against The Woodhall School, a team they recently faced in another closely contested game.
Please pray that the team and school community will continue to encourage one another as they reflect on the season and look ahead with gratitude and growth.
