Strength, Courage, and Growth: Reflections on the Boys’ Third Game

December 12, 2025, 9:00 a.m. ET

On December 10th at 4:15 p.m., the Olivet Academy Boys’ Basketball Team played their third game of the season in the school gym, facing the strong and competitive Forman School. The game ended with a score of 28–49. Although the team did not win this time, the courage and perseverance the players displayed were truly admirable—far more valuable than the numbers on the scoreboard.

Throughout the game, the players trusted one another, worked closely as a team, and never gave up despite the pressure. It was clear to everyone that they were giving their best and growing with each step. Their attitude brings to mind the encouragement from Scripture: “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid.” Their performance on the court was a beautiful reflection of this truth—playing with heart, strength, and dedication.

We also believe that every game, regardless of the outcome, is an opportunity to learn and mature. We hope that in the days ahead, the players will continue to build confidence while addressing their weaknesses with humility—reflecting, improving, and growing steadily. The gifts and potential God has placed in them will continue to shine brighter as they continue to give their best.

Even though this game did not end in a win, the unity, perseverance, and determination they demonstrated are victories in themselves. May the Lord continue to guide them, giving them wisdom and strength in every practice and every game as they run faithfully on the path set before them.

We are truly proud of them, and we thank God for every step of their effort. May they continue forward with courage, strength, and hope in the games to come.
