Four teams raced, worked together and decorated pumpkins with themes of love, peace, joy and patience
AMENIA, N.Y. — The Student Government hosted a fall relay game on the lawn of the Olivet Academy campus on Thursday, Oct. 22. Four teams competed in a race that tested their speed, teamwork and creativity.
The event was full of the season. Pumpkins, apples and warm fall colors were part of the race, giving the afternoon a festive feel.
The relay was about more than speed. At one station, a student government representative gave each team a theme: love, peace, joy or patience. Teams then decorated a pumpkin to show their word, turning plain pumpkins into small works of art.
From start to finish, students gave their best effort. They cheered for their teammates, worked together on each challenge and kept pushing toward the finish line.
The joy on the lawn matched the coming Thanksgiving season. The event became a time to enjoy each other’s company and to be grateful for the school community.
