Olivet Academy celebrated Teachers Appreciation Week from May 5 to 8 with a series of heartfelt events held at both the Elementary School and the Middle and High School campuses. Throughout the week, students, parents, and school staff came together to honor the dedication, love, and service of the teachers who faithfully guide and support the students each day.
One of the most meaningful gifts prepared for the teachers was a framed class photo from the recent Picture Day. Around each photo, students wrote personal messages of appreciation, filling the frame with warm words of thanks and encouragement. In addition, students prepared individual cards for their teachers, expressing in their own words how much they value their teachers’ care, patience, and guidance.
Parents and students also gathered small gifts as a way to show their appreciation, while the school prepared additional gifts to honor the teachers. These thoughtful expressions created a joyful and touching atmosphere across the campus, reminding everyone of the special bond between teachers, students, and families.
This year’s celebration also included a special Lucky Draw event. At the Elementary School, students and teachers enjoyed a fun prize selection activity using the classroom smart board, where a digital spinning wheel determined each teacher’s gift. At the Middle and High School, students prepared a creative gift box with strings attached to different prizes. Teachers chose and cut a string, receiving the surprise gift connected to it. The activity brought laughter, excitement, and a strong sense of community.
A particularly memorable moment took place when the school presented a special jacket to Mr. Tsukroff, who has served at Olivet Academy for five years. The jacket featured the school logo embroidered on the left chest, symbolizing appreciation for his faithful service and commitment to the school community.
The teachers received the students’ and parents’ gifts with joy and gratitude. The school also expressed sincere thanks to all the parents and students who helped prepare the special events, gifts, cards, and messages. Their love and support made Teachers Appreciation Week a truly meaningful celebration.
Above all, Olivet Academy gives all thanks and glory to God, who continues to watch over the school, its students, and its teachers. The school prays that Olivet Academy will continue to grow as a nurturing home for true Christian leaders, where students are formed in faith, character, knowledge, and love.
