Middle and High School kicked off its school year with an exciting event, the “Scarecrow Relay Race,” organized by Student Government. The event took place behind the middle and high school buildings and was filled with enthusiasm and friendly competition.

A total of thirty-eight students participated, forming five teams to engage in a series of obstacle races and challenges, including red light/green light, a three-legged race, a blindfolded challenge, a donut challenge, and a final scarecrow-building competition. Each team competed to earn materials for decorating one of their members as a scarecrow.

After completing the relay, teams gathered to showcase their creativity by decorating a selected teammate with the materials they had collected. Teachers served as judges, evaluating each scarecrow to determine the best design.

The top prize was awarded to the 6th-grade girls’ scarecrow, with the team receiving a pumpkin pie as their reward. The fastest team, composed of 8th to 11th-grade boys, earned an apple pie for their performance. All other participants were given a powdered sugar donut as a consolation treat.

This joyful event marked a wonderful start to the new school year, fostering school spirit and creating lasting memories. The Student Government looks forward to organizing more exciting events in the future, hoping to create activities that bring joy, strengthen relationships, and build cherished memories.
