By the grace of God, on the afternoon of August 26th, OAc Amenia Middle School joyfully hosted a welcoming orientation for incoming 6th graders and their parents. Laughter, excitement, and anticipation filled the air as students stepped into a new chapter of their school journey, eager to meet their teachers and explore their classrooms. Parents joined in the joy as well, showing strong support and encouragement for both their children and the school community.
The program began with heartfelt words from Middle School Director P. John Vivian, who encouraged students to embrace this season with confidence, faith, and a willingness to grow. Afterwards, teachers guided students through their classrooms, introducing themselves and sharing what awaits in each subject area. With schedules in hand, the 6th graders experienced a mini-orientation with every subject teacher, helping both students and families feel at home in the middle school environment.
The afternoon concluded in an atmosphere of unity, gratitude, and hope—marking a truly blessed beginning for the 6th-grade class. More than just an orientation, the day served as a reminder that each child is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that God has a unique purpose for their lives in this new season.
We warmly invite you to join us in prayer for all our students, staff, and teachers—that this school year may be filled with wisdom, joy, and success, and that together we may grow in faith, love, and purpose.
