Olivet Academy has been actively enhancing its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) curriculum, fostering creativity and interdisciplinary learning among students. This semester, seniors in the Environmental Science class are taking their knowledge of ecosystems to the next level through hands-on projects.
As part of the project, students are designing and building art mobiles that demonstrate the intricate relationships within food chains, food webs, and broader ecosystems. By transforming scientific concepts into artistic representations, students are able to explore ecological balance in a visually engaging and educational way.
The project not only reinforces scientific understanding but also cultivates problem-solving skills, artistic expression, and collaboration, exemplifying the academy’s commitment to a holistic STEAM education.
