On November 24, Olivet Academy Amenia witnessed an exhilarating and historic moment—the first official game of Olivet Academy’s inaugural boys’ basketball team was held in the Amenia gym. Teachers, students, staff, and parents gathered to cheer for the players, while the parent group online was filled with prayers, excitement, and messages of support. The entire campus buzzed with anticipation and enthusiasm.

After a period of focused training, the time had finally come to put their efforts to the test. On the court, the players displayed remarkable teamwork—they encouraged and supported one another, comforted teammates after mistakes, defended with focus, attacked with courage, and never gave up. In the end, through determination and strong team chemistry, they achieved a meaningful and memorable victory.

We are deeply grateful to God for giving our students this opportunity to grow, overcome challenges, and shine through sports. We also pray that God will continue to guide them in future games, helping them remain humble, diligent, and courageous, so they may keep improving, bring honor to our school, and bear witness for the Lord.

This victory belongs not only to the players but also to the parents and teachers who supported them behind the scenes. After the game, the parent group was filled with joy and gratitude, with families expressing how proud they were of the boys’ performance.

In addition, the Director of the Boarding School, John Vivian, shared a heartfelt message in the parent group:
“So proud of our boys tonight! They played really hard, and many students and parents came to show their support. The atmosphere was incredible! I am so thankful for all of your support for Olivet Academy! Together, we can offer so many great opportunities for our kids, now including an excellent sports program. Thank you for all your prayers—we are so blessed! God bless you!”

His words reminded everyone once again of the unity and connection shared between the school and the families, making this victory even warmer and more meaningful.

This will undoubtedly become a significant and unforgettable chapter in Olivet Academy Amenia’s history—and also a brand-new beginning. May our students continue to challenge themselves, move forward with courage, and create even more glorious moments in the future.
