December 18, 2025, 11:15 a.m. ET

Before the Christmas holiday, Olivet Academy in Amenia gathered teachers and staff for a simple yet meaningful gift-giving ceremony held at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel. This special time served not only as a seasonal celebration, but also as a moment of thanksgiving and reflection.

The school expressed sincere appreciation to all teachers, staff, and supporting employees for their dedication and hard work since the beginning of the academic year. Their commitment to teaching, genuine care for students, and faithful service have played an essential role in the growth and well-being of the boarding school community. As one unified body, each member has contributed to the school’s mission through teamwork and devotion.

During the ceremony, Boarding School Director John Vivian led the faculty and staff in a prayer of thanksgiving, praising God for His continual guidance and protection throughout 2025. Prayers were also offered for a safe and restful holiday season, including safe travel, and for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all students and staff. The community also prayed for strength and diligence as they look ahead to the coming year of service.

One faculty member shared his reflections, saying:

“I’ve felt very blessed during my time at Olivet Academy so far. We have wonderful students and amazing staff. I feel very encouraged today, and I am truly thankful to everyone for making this such a meaningful experience.”

His words reflected the shared gratitude within the community and served as a testimony to the work God is doing at OAc Amenia.

The following day at noon, P. John also extended Christmas blessings and warm greetings to the kitchen staff and cafeteria employees, expressing appreciation for their faithful service and care for the school community.

As the year comes to a close, Olivet Academy offers thanks and praise to God. May the school continue to walk in unity, serve faithfully in love, and grow in grace in the year ahead—becoming a blessing to one another and to all whom God places in our path.
