The Olivet Academy Amenia boys basketball team concluded its 2026–2027 season with a 44–34 victory over The Woodhall School on February 21, 2026. The game served as a rematch of a closely contested matchup held on February 14.
At halftime, the school honored two graduating seniors, Joshua Cho and Daniel Tzeng, recognizing their dedication and contribution to the program. Boarding School Director P. John Vivian and Athletic Director and Basketball Coach Mr. Matthew Cavuoto stood alongside the seniors during the recognition ceremony.
This season marked the school’s first year participating in interscholastic competition, providing student-athletes with opportunities to compete against other schools. From November through February, the team played a total of 13 games, finishing with an impressive record of eight wins and five losses. Opponents included several local private schools, including Christian schools in the region.
“Olivet Academy is grateful for the basketball team’s effort throughout the season,” said a school staff member. “The student body also supported the team well during each home game, cheering with great enthusiasm.”
Please pray that Olivet Academy will continue to encourage its athletic teams to compete with determination and grace, representing the school with Christ-like character and reflecting God’s glory in their lives.
