On Friday, June 26, 2026, Olivet Academy held its 2026 Commencement Ceremony in the Amenia Campus Gymnasium, celebrating 58 graduates from Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
This year’s ceremony was centered on Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Through prayers, messages, performances, and words of encouragement, graduates were reminded of their calling to shine the light of Christ wherever God leads them.
The ceremony began with a welcoming address and opening prayer by Pastor Jenyan Khor, Principal of Olivet Academy, followed by the hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” In his principal’s address, Pastor Khor emphasized that true Christian leadership begins not with a title, but with a heart to love and serve. He encouraged the graduates to live as faithful testimonies of Christ and to continue trusting God in every step of their journey.
Pastor John Vivian, High School Director, delivered the commencement address based on Matthew 5:14–16. He reminded the Class of 2026 that Christ’s light reveals truth, brings freedom, and gives spiritual confidence. He urged the graduates to shine brightly, boldly share God’s truth, and encourage one another as they enter the next chapter of their lives.
Pastor David Chang, President of the World Olivet Assembly, also offered congratulatory remarks. Reflecting on Psalm 90:12, he reminded the graduates that time passes quickly and encouraged them to number their days wisely, making the most of every day by God’s grace.
The ceremony also featured joyful and meaningful performances by the graduating classes. The Kindergarten graduates performed “Celebration,” the 5th Grade graduates sang “The Goodness,” and the school Dance Team presented “Joy.” The 8th Grade graduates shared a faith-filled skit titled “The Power of Prayer,” followed by a choral performance of “Battle Belongs.”
A special highlight of the ceremony was the Senior Class Tribute Video, which reflected on the journey of the 12 seniors as they grew in faith, friendship, and maturity at Olivet Academy. Valedictorian Daniel Tzeng then delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to parents, teachers, and above all, to God.
“We owe everything to our parents and teachers who have led us with boundless love and prayer, and above all, to God,” he said. “Equipped with the spiritual heritage we received at Olivet Academy, we promise to live lives that shine His light wherever we are called.”
The ceremony reached its joyful peak with the Presentation of Diplomas and the symbolic Tassel Shift led by Mr. Leman. As the 12 seniors turned their tassels from right to left, they officially became Olivet Academy alumni amid applause and celebration.
The commencement concluded with the congregation singing “I Thank God,” followed by the Lord’s Prayer led by Pastor Jenyan Khor.
Under God’s grace, the 58 graduates of Olivet Academy closed a meaningful chapter at the Amenia Campus and stepped forward with a renewed calling to shine the light of Christ in the world.
