On the festive evening of Friday, December 22nd, Olivet Academy’s elementary school transformed into a winter wonderland of music, drama, and dance as students, teachers, and special guests gathered for the annual Christmas concert. The auditorium buzzed with excitement as each grade showcased their unique talents and prepared performances, turning the night into a memorable celebration of holiday cheer.
The concert kicked off with the 5th Grade’s enchanting recitation, setting the stage for a diverse array of performances. The Drama Club took the spotlight with their rendition of “The Forgiveness Play,” while the younger grades, including Kindergarten and 1st Grade, mesmerized the audience with delightful dance routines. The harmony of handbells echoed through the auditorium as the 2nd and 3rd Grades demonstrated their musical prowess, and the 4th Grade delivered a powerful recitation. Recorder melodies filled the air as the 4th and 5th Grades took the stage, and the sweet sounds of the choir resonated from the collaboration between the 3rd and 5th Grades.
The evening featured special performances that added an extra layer of magic to the concert. Timothy Ding, a talented 4th grader, showcased his piano skills, while Mifa Kim, a dedicated music teacher, graced the audience with a soulful vocal performance.
