During the second half of the 2023-2024 school year, starting in February, the Middle and High School will expand its music program under the guidance of music teacher Mifa Kim. Students from 6th to 12th grade will have five hour-long music classes every ten days, covering music theory and instrument instruction. Middle schoolers will focus on learning the recorder, while high schoolers will participate in choir.
For 9th-10th graders, the music program includes Music Theory on A days and Choir Ensemble on B days. In the Music Theory Program, students work in pairs to review lessons and practice together, enhancing their communication skills. In Choir Ensemble, students are divided into groups based on voice type (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) to practice hymns. They then come together to harmonize their voices after individual practice sessions.
